Kassou Seydou was born in 1971 in Ziguinchor, Senegal.  Lives and works in Dakar.  A graduate of the School of Arts in Dakar in 2001, Kassou Seydou then resides in the art center "Doors and passages of the return" of the artist Kan Si to Joal Fadiouth for two years.

Gradually, he supports his artistic approach and his arabesque backgrounds emerges an imaginary writing that mixes different stories.  After taking part in interesting residencies and individual and collective exhibitions, he joined the Cécile Fakhoury gallery in 2018 and has since developed a deep and constantly evolving artistic approach.
